Agreement Template / December 4, 2018 / Hattie Salas
If the tenancy agreement is set but one or both of the parties do not agree on certain provisions in the tenancy agreement revisions are possible. In this scenario both parties should be extremely careful that proper wording is included especially if both parties have no education on law whatsoever. Putting down simple thoughts and compromised policies may not transcribe to proper legal wording. There are however straightforward alterations that both parties can change themselves. One example is the housing of pets in the property. Legally it is advised that any alterations done in the agreement should be signed or initialed by both parties as proof that they both agree to the alterations before the actual policy takes place. A tenancy agreement template is not universally perfect for everyone.
You have the responsibility to make sure that it fits your needs. From the drafting to the alterations you can seek professional help if you are not sure of what you are doing. There are people who specialize in giving counsel regarding tenancy agreements. Although you can go directly to lawyers often times they are expensive that consultants. If you can afford their services then by all means utilize their service. If not there are hundreds of legal consultants out there. This will prevent you from making mistakes in preparing as well as setting the agreement. Preventing such mistake will also prevent the agreement to be deemed invalid by the legal courts if such case arises. Whenever going in to a mutual business with another company it is wise to first chalk out an agreement to safeguard the interests of both the parties.
A good form will have some empty lines to write specifics about the job role in case the basic agreement doesnt cover them. Another benefit is the clear reduction in legal liability that a business can achieve by using a simple employment agreement template. When you have clear requirements for both parties written in a signed document this eliminates a lot of the ambiguity and costs associated with lawyers and courts if you are ever sued by a current or former employee (or worse yet the employees union). As long as the agreement follows the law and the employee was competent at the time of signing most courts will honor its terms. This can get you out of a very expensive situation! On the other hand a detriment of using a pre-written template is that it may not handle more complex jobs or specific types of contract projects where there are a lot of detailed deliverables.
