Many entrepreneurs contact other printing companies to supply receipts invoices and other business stationery. If you are doing your own invoices make sure you invest in good quality paper and in a good printer. Traditional invoices can take more time to finish than the modern excel invoices. You can simply use the template at hand and fill purchase details. Once you are done you can have the document printed. One issue is that you have to invest in a quality printer and a supply of paper. This is a favorable option for many. If you run out of invoice copies you can have one printed using the Excel template.
Note that an invoice is a commercial document that a seller issues to the buyer. The invoice indicates what products or services are being sold and the prices of these products or services. Sellers have the obligation to provide invoices to customers. All together the invoice provides authorities data on the earnings of the seller or store owner or entrepreneur. These documents are also important for record-keeping and assessment purposes. For the buyer the invoice is the proof of purchase and ownership. Since it is an essential document an invoice should bear the right information about the products prices name of company/seller and name of buyer.
Populate the customer s name and mailing address. 6. Tab to cell E6 and type Ship To . Populate the address to which the customer wants the item(s) to be shipped. 7. Create Product and Pricing Fields. Type Item Number in cell A12. 8. In cell B12 type Description . Populate the identification number and product type the customer who has made the purchase. 9. In cell C12 type Unit Price . Populate the cost of each item. 10. In cell E12 type Line Total . Calculate and show the total cost of the item(s). 11. If you require to broaden the column width highlight columns A through E. Click Format Columns and then Auto Fit Selection .
